United Engineers (Singapore) Pte Ltd, which have been a member of SICC for over 100 years under the original name of Howarth Erskine Ltd and Riley, Hargreaves & Co Ltd, received a special edition of the book
"A PATTERN OF CHANGE : THE SICC FROM 1837" from the Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew on the 15 November 2000 at the Grand Hyatt, Singapore.

in recognition of the achievement of
Singapore's Best Electrical Contractor of the Asean Federation of Electrical Engineering Contractors during the AFFEECC IXTH Convention held in Jakarta
on 5th October 1998.
