UES is the a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mainboard-listed United Engineers Limited (UEL). It is a multi-disciplinary engineering services company specialising in building and environmental projects.

The engineering legacy of UES can be traced back to its historic roots in 1912, where UEL was formed with two large engineering companies – Riley Hargreaves & Co and Howarth Eskine & Co Ltd – coming together to become ‘United Engineers’. With the merger, an engineering powerhouse was formed with operations stretching from Singapore to Shanghai, engaging a in a wide spectrum of engineering projects: design and construction of iron, steel and composite buildings, lattice, plate girder and suspension bridges, wharves, steel cast iron and ferro-concrete water towers, lighthouses, pontoons, mooring and marking buoys and cast and wrought iron work. In the recent decades, UES became the engineering arm of the UEL, and combined its expertise in construction and engineering to specialise in building engineering services and water-related infrastructures.

Today, UES is one of Singapore’s most established players in the Mechanical & Engineering field and boasts a strong track record in the successful implementation of numerous infrastructure projects.
